Before I begin sharing the details of exciting quilting projects and my dreams for 2012, I need to work on a New Year’s resolution. January 1st is a fresh start and it feels a lot like going back to school in September and getting back into a routine.
What happens after you ring in the new year? I clean! Even as I was counting down the days until New Year’s Eve, I had already begun going through my house and letting go of items that were taking up space or weren’t serving any purpose. Admittedly, I came across boxes of neatly organized finished quilt tops which were nicely paired with their backing and binding fabrics, some projects I even got as far as to cutting my strips for the binding. Obviously these stacks of beautiful quilt tops are not going to quilt themselves.
New Year’s Resolution.
I will quilt most* of my existing quilt tops during 2012. My plan of action is to pick one quilt top per month and just quilt it already.
Notice that I didn’t say ALL my quilt tops. The reason being that I have very exciting projects which I have started and many I have planned over the next year. I know you will love them as much as I do dreaming them up. I will keep you posted with sneak peaks as I work towards launching my patterns for modern quilting projects!
